Overnight recap before the MATIF open: 

-South Korea tendering for 210,000 tons of corn and 55,000 tons of soybean meal. 
-China’s inventory of soybeans dropped in recent weeks, crushers boosting operations on higher crush margins, the China National Grain & Oils Information Center said in report.
-Traders see zero deliveries of wheat/corn on first notice day.
-CHS, the largest US co-operative is buying Canadian durum and is looking at other crops reportedly.

Overnight recap before the MATIF open:

Global market: 

Tunisia bought 50,000 tons of optional origin soft wheat. They bought 25,000 tons at $291.91/ton C&F from Casillo Commodities (Italy) and 25,000 tons at $295.65/ton C&F form Ameropa (Switzerland). 
Spain bought 85,000 tons of US wheat in total. They bought 30,000 tons from Dreyfus at $286/ton C&F and 55,000 tons from Bunge.

Results from Algeria and Bangladesh tenders still waited.


Estimates:

IGC released its global estimates for 2011/12: Wheat crop 695M tons (690M previously). Corn crop 864 M tons (861M previously)
Rosario Grains Exchange released its estimates for Argentina: Beans 44.5M tons (49.5 previously) Corn 19.8M tons (21.4M previously) 
Buenos Aires Cereals Exchange released its weekly crop report: Beans 46.2M tons (46.2 previously) Corn 21.3M tons (21.3M previously)

Tunisia: 50,000 tons of soft wheat. Optional origin



Deals:

Iraq: 400,000 tons of wheat. Origin: Canada 

Spain: 30,000 tons of SRW. Origin: US 

Taiwan: 58,000 tons of soybeans. Origin: Brazil 

South Korea: 7,500 tons of soybeans. Origin: China, Canada , US
